Pizza + Pilates Event Terms & Participant Waivers

Event Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours before the event to receive a refund. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the event and no-shows are nonrefundable. Registrations may be transferred to another guest with advance notice.

If the event is canceled by the organizers, registered guests will receive a full refund. Event details, instructors, menu items and offerings are subject to change when reasonably necessary.

This event-specific cancellation policy replaces the standard 24-hour cancellation policy referenced in TruForm Pilates’ general waiver.

Age Requirement

Participants must be at least 18 years old to register for and participate in the event. By registering, the Participant confirms that they are at least 18 years old.

Alcoholic beverages will only be served to guests who are at least 21 years old and present valid government-issued photo identification.

TruForm Pilates Liability Waiver

TruForm Pilates (“Studio”) and the registered participant (“Participant”) agree to the following terms regarding the Participant’s involvement in the Pilates class.

Physical Condition of Participant

The Participant represents and agrees that they are in appropriate physical condition to participate and have no disability, impairment or ailment that would prevent them from safely engaging in active or passive exercise or that could be detrimental to their health, safety, comfort or physical condition.

The Participant acknowledges that the Studio has not made any claims regarding medical results or recommended medical treatment. The Participant acknowledges that the Studio recommends consulting a physician before beginning any exercise program.

The Participant is responsible for informing the Studio and instructor of any relevant physical limitations. The Participant agrees to immediately report any pain experienced before, during or after the class so the exercise can be modified or discontinued.

Assumption of Risk, Release and Waiver of Liability

The Participant understands that participating in Pilates and using the Studio’s instruction, services or equipment involves inherent risks, including slipping, falling, fatigue, physical stress, muscle strain and other foreseeable or unforeseen injuries.

With full knowledge and understanding of these risks, the Participant voluntarily participates at their own risk and personally assumes responsibility for any injury, harm, loss or damage that may result from participation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Participant releases, relinquishes, acquits and forever discharges TruForm Pilates, its instructor and its owners, managers, employees, contractors and agents (“TruForm Released Parties”) from claims, demands, actions, causes of action or rights arising from or relating to participation in the class, including claims resulting from the ordinary negligence of a TruForm Released Party.

The Participant acknowledges that no promise, agreement or representation not expressly included in this waiver was made to induce their acceptance.

The Participant confirms that they have read and fully understand this release and waiver of liability, understand that they are giving up substantial legal rights and accept it freely and voluntarily.

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria Event and Restaurant Liability Waiver

The Participant understands that the Pizza + Pilates event includes physical activity and attendance at a restaurant where food and alcoholic beverages may be served.

Assumption of Risk

The Participant acknowledges and voluntarily assumes the risks associated with attending and participating in the event, including:

  • Slips, trips, falls or contact with furniture, fixtures or other participants;
  • Injuries associated with Pilates or other physical activity;
  • Burns or other injuries associated with hot food, beverages, dishes or restaurant surfaces;
  • Foodborne illness, allergic reactions, food sensitivities or cross-contact between ingredients;
  • Loss of or damage to personal belongings; and
  • Risks associated with consuming alcoholic beverages.

The Participant is responsible for determining whether they can safely participate and consume any food or beverage offered. Participants with food allergies or dietary restrictions must notify restaurant staff before consuming food. Grimaldi’s cannot guarantee that any menu item will be completely free from allergens or cross-contact.

Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Participant releases and discharges Coal Brick Oven Pizzeria, Inc., Grimaldi’s Pizzeria and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, owners, officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, landlords and event partners (“Grimaldi’s Released Parties”) from claims for personal injury, illness, property damage or loss arising from participation in or attendance at the event, including claims resulting from the ordinary negligence of a Grimaldi’s Released Party.

This release does not apply to gross negligence, reckless or intentional misconduct, or any liability that cannot legally be waived.

Alcohol

Alcoholic beverages may only be served to guests who are at least 21 years old and present valid government-issued photo identification. Each guest is responsible for consuming alcohol responsibly and arranging safe transportation.

Grimaldi’s reserves the right to refuse alcohol service when appropriate. The inclusion of an alcoholic beverage with registration does not guarantee that a beverage will be served to any guest who does not meet the age and identification requirements.

Personal Property

Participants are responsible for their personal property, including exercise mats and other belongings. The Grimaldi’s Released Parties are not responsible for property that is lost, stolen or damaged during the event, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

Acknowledgment and Agreement

By registering for this event, the Participant confirms that:

  • They are at least 18 years old;
  • They have read and understand these event terms and participant waivers;
  • They voluntarily agree to assume the risks described above;
  • They understand that they are giving up certain legal rights, including the right to bring claims covered by these releases; and
  • They accept these terms freely and voluntarily.

By completing registration, the Participant agrees that their electronic acceptance has the same effect as a written signature.
